CIGS cells, known for being economical to manufacture while delivering higher conversion efficiency than CdTe, are rising in prominence within the solar panel market. Still, CdTe retains its appeal due to lower costs per watt arising from batch manufacturing capabilities. This competitive edge positions CdTe solar cells favorably for future solar power production.
