Your Position: Home - Other Earthwork Products - What is High Strength Concrete Pipe Pile and Why Do We Use Them?
The Pretensioned Prestressed High Strength Concrete Pipe Pile(PHC Pile)is a prestressed concrete component with an annular cross-section, manufactured using prestressing and centrifugal processes. The concrete has a cube compressive strength of 80 MPa and the pile's cross-sectional diameter ranges from400 mm to mm. The prestressed reinforcement consists of Prestressed Concrete Steel Bars (Pc bars).
PHC piles are categorized into four types-Type A, AB, B, and C-based on effective prestress. These piles can be installed using hammering, static pressing, or insertion methods, ensuring rapid, convenient, and flexible construction. The construction process does not produce slurry, waste, or other pollutants. PHC pile connections can be made through welding or mechanical ioints, both of which are straightforward and reliable. The mechanical performance of the connections meets or exceeds that of the pile body itself.
