Here, a silicon diode (D5) and a 6.2V voltage regulator diode (D6) form a 6.9V reference voltage to monitor the charging voltage. When IC1 2 feet input voltage (both battery voltage) is lower than 6.9V, IC1 6 feet output high level, T1 conductive, J1 is powered, its moving contacts and "N / O (normally open point)" connected to the power supply voltage through the R2 on the battery charging, while the LED2 light for charging instructions. Changing the R2 resistance value can adjust the charging current. With the increase of charging time, IC1 pin two voltage increases gradually; when the voltage is greater than the reference voltage of 6.9V, IC1 pin six outputs a low level, T1 cutoff, J1 de-energized, disconnecting the charging circuit to realize the automatic charging protection function.
When the power fails, J2 loses power. Its moving contacts and "N / C (normally closed point)" are connected to the battery through the S1 emergency light circuit power supply to realize the automatic switching function in the event of a blackout. S1 is used here to cut off the emergency light circuit part manually.
